Kizaruber EatsThe rohan spinoff series is pretty good. Very slice of life, mystery oriented. Amazing intro too. I've bot seen any other OVAs but I'm extremely salty purple haze feedback never got one.
The original OVA for Jojo, the one animating part 3 is very good. Some animation and art of it still looks amazing today.
Kizaruber EatsIt has an absolutely fantastic song made as an AMV for it, voodoo kingdom. I think voodoo kingdom was made for the lost Phantom blood movie decades ago or it could have been made for that OVA but the JJBA OVA with that song AMV and that song GO HARD! https://youtu.be/GQL4cKbFYpQ?si=dnP8d7_ufvBztbVB
(Around 2:35 especially)
Monster Zoro's Tesla SupplierI really like the opening for the Rohan spinoff, feels very smooth and elegant!
And I've seen clips of the part 3 OVA (mostly Dio and Jotaro's fight, something I was already spoiled on before so it didn't really affect me when I watched it), it seems to have a kind of weird reputation but I personally like the animation and fight choreography, voice acting isn't bad either. I want to watch it so bad but I'm trying-
Monster Zoro's Tesla Supplier-to watch it chronologically, work my way up from part 1 to part 3 and then watch the ova. Also, I really love the character designs in this series, I obviously haven't seen that many of the characters (except the Jostars, Dio and a few stands) but the ones I have seen are pretty well designed.
Kizaruber EatsRight?! Im trying to think what people compared it to, I think they said Twin Peaks and X-Files, I've not seen Twin Peaks but X-Files I love and definitely get the same vibes too.
Ah nice, yeah its pretty great honestly, like peak 8s-90s era animation type stuff, I like this grittier, more brutal, grounded anime style especially in this overly saccharine Moe obsessed culture, along with exaggeration, irony and such.
Kizaruber EatsAye, the character designs are fantastic! Araki has AMAZING taste in style and fashion and his fights are some of the best in any series by far, very strategic and constantly about outsmarting and adapting. You're gonna see some truly insane shit by the time part 3 is over never mind getting into the later parts ,where character designs, abilities and concepts really go through the roof! Part 6 onwards is absolutely
Kizaruber Eatsinsanity especially. Virtual Insanity even lmao.
Arakis designs are definitely amazing, ive not read any of Part 9 yet but some of the shit he was doing in part 8 was CRAZY too! In a way, Araki kinda feels like a mix of Togashi, Kubo and Odas styles, writing and abilities. A weird or Bizarre even of balance of the 3.
Honestly if you stick with the series you're in for a truly phenomenal ride, especially if you
Kizaruber Eatsgo with the anime too, you NEED to see what they do with with the openings and EDs for the anime for the whole series from part 3 onwards, no spoilers though ofc. The music, animation and such generally are phenomenal as well as the voice acting too ofc. Part 2 uses some very famous Italian opera music or w/e too for a certain infamous scene which I wont spoil ofc.
But yeah, David Production who do the anime are
Kizaruber EatsHARDCORE Jojo fans and they meticulously adapt everything from the manga even the actual mistakes 1:1 to give that true authenticity and ultimate fan tribute feel. To this day, I CANT BELIEVE some of the stuff they've done, being a Jojo fan is a HELL of privilege imo, much like a One Piece fan in some ways ofc. You really feel rewarded for being one.
I would recommend a series called Record of Ragnarok to you too
Kizaruber Eatsbtw, you may enjoy it? The anime is extremely mid at best but the manga is decent and the author draws the female MC Bruunhilde in the most HILARIOUS insane ways, the most extreme expressions despite how serious her character is generally. I dropped it around a certain fight atm as its so unwanted by the fanbase and thus nobody asked for it, so ive lost interest in it, especially when the story is getting so deep,
Kizaruber Eatsclimatic, important etc but I may pick it back up now as I can binge a bunch of chapters at least and not be stuck waiting monthly for a continuation of a fight I have absolutely zero interest in.
But yeah RoR is pretty great, some really interesting fights, pretty much everyone gets backstories, the Valkyries are awesome and a few legendary characters too.
