When it comes to dragons, the one that wins is whichever one Martin wants lol. There’s no real power levels there, just size discrepancies. When Caraxes tore Vaghar’s throat out, that’s how you know Caraxes could even potentially kill Balerion.

Vermithor is my favorite Targaryen dragon but he isn’t safe from Caraxes.

Vhagar had an inexperienced rider thats why she lost, Daemon used Caraxes speed and maneuverability+ long neck to sneak from above and had Caraxes bite down under her neck and not let go. She did eviscerate him but he managed to bite out her throat and she bled to death underwater unable to breathe lol. Imo in the hands of a more experienced rider Daemon wouldve stood no chance.
