Hmm. I think shiki is a bit below characters like Roger and Prime WB. Shiki acknowledged Roger's superiority. Prime garp was also close to Roger.

I think prime Sengoku, prime shiki and prime ray are all comparable more or less all being Kaido tier. Shiki is one my favs and has my fav DF in one piece. He has one of the most OP DFs no doubt imo.

I've always had Shiki over Garp/Sengoku individually by a little bit, just because of the MF fight. Not by much since he's rivals with Sengoku.

I always viewed him as overall, the fourth strongest pirate of all time after WB, Roger and Xebec.

his df is cool. Apparently it actually violates a rule Oda set for himself about not making a df where the user can just "can freely fly and float in the air"

Okay. Imo garp was portrayed as someone who came close to killing Roger multiple times. Shiki didn't get that type of portrayal and admitted superiority to Roger. Also I don't think shiki will be prominent in current timeline of OP and garp is more prominent character.

i feel Ray and Shiki are in a similar boat since both of their otherwise fantastic portrayal is kinda hurt by their irrelvancy in the God Valley flashback and lack of appearance in Kaido's top 5.

I would like if Shiki did show up. He could make a great opponent for Luffy in Elbaf, or he could be an ally to Teach(who should have at least one former Rocks under him).

Alternatively he could fight Garling

honestly I know I've said i'm unsure about Garp vs Kaido, but there's nothing preventing Garp from being above even WB depending how God Valley went.

I just find it weird to compute Garp>Shiki after Shiki lost in a 1v2.

what do you think the old Kurozumi's connection to Shiki was?

Possible old kurozumi was also a part of rocks for small period of time. Otherwise no idea when they interacted.
