Kizaruber EatsOh nice one Hanners, congrats! I've considered one for a long time. I could recommend so many games as I like platformers and puzzles too! +1 t o Portal 2, its AMAZING, one of my favourite games ever! Start with Portal 1, its like 2 hours long and less complex so it works as a nice warmup to Portal 2 too! Portal 2 has a HILARIOUS co-op mode too if you can get someone to play it with, some of the most fun I've had!
Kizaruber EatsGhost Trick Phantom Detective can get pretty hard as a puzzle game but it has an AMAZING story, so much heart, soul, charm, it makes me cry everytime I play it! Phenomenal game!
But for more casual experiences, I strongly recommend games like Carto, Harmony's Odyssey, Blade Kitten, Castle On The Coast (this one was made to support a childrens hospital in USA, really wholesome and beautiful game with a really nice
Kizaruber Eatsdeveloper who added me as a friend on Steam too), Gris (very emotional, beautiful and casual game), Spring Falls, Jetstream, Mini Ninjas, Mirror's Edge (not Catalyst ideally), Path of Giants, Giana Sisters maybe, Prince of Persia series (I've not tried the new ones so can't say but they seem a lot harder but well received), Rune Lord, Steamworld Dig 1 and 2, Townscaper, Wavetale (I LOVE this game, really fun and
Kizaruber Eatsincredible concept executed so WELL), Catch The Stars, especially the Japan one (really relaxing beautiful easy simple game especially the Japan one), Flood of Light and Amber City (very relaxing and beautiful puzzle games), Journey, Flower, Cloud Gardens, Escape Simulator and various Escape Room games on Steam, Aquaria, Braid, Blocks That Matter, The Pedestrian (very unique and creative game!), Lost Winds 1 and 2
Kizaruber Eats(really beautiful, relaxed, casual, heartwarming, emotional puzzle games that I loved on the Wii and im so glad came to Steam too!), De Blob 1 and 2, Gorgoa, A Hat In Time (extremely fun game but can get really hard, if you can get Steam Workshop, it gets AMAZING especially, the BEST workshop mods ever), The Trine series (beautiful platformer series where you play as a an archer thief, wizard and knight together),
Kizaruber EatsSeal World (really beautiful, relaxed, funny, wholesome game).
I could keep going but I won't , I've spammed way enough as it is ofc! But you get the idea hahaha, I'm really passionate about this kind of thing, so if you ever want more advice/ideas, just le me know please!
Hanners220@Kizaruber Eats thank you for the recommendations! I’m thinking I will start with the Portal series. I also prefer games that I can pause and go back to. It always feels like I have a million things that I need to do. So I can’t game for hours at a time. Video games are just something to help me relax for a bit.
Kizaruber EatsYou're very welcome! A bunch of games I recommended are exactly like that at least, I focused on single player games so they all can be paused and resumed anytime but some are much easier and more relaxed than others ofc!
For the most ultra casual and thus free experiences for you with your circumstances, try the Portal games, but I strongly recommend Carto, Water Planet, The Turing Test (that one is quite dark
Kizaruber Eatslike Portal and more serious than it but its a really good game, similar to Portal), Seal World, Gorgoa, Cloud Gardens, Catch the Stars, Jet Stream, Flood Of Light/Amber City, Lost Winds series, Castle On The Coast.
But yeah I'm sure you will find many more if needed, I'll always gladly be on hand to help as needed too!
