Generalizing a bit, I could maybe see Luffy as Zeus, BB as Poseidon, and IMU as Hades, with the first two having to band together against the third.
The SHs are somewhat like the Olympians, and BB does call his captains titans.
But the Mother of the Sea should be a femminine entity like Imu, not BB. And BB has the darkness elements before he gained the quake one.
Oda pulls from too many sources, mudding the waters.

There is also too much overlap between Ancient Weapons and DF powers to see where Oda is headed, based on mythological references alone. BB taken to the extreme wouldn't even need an AW, yet Caribou turned out to be looking for him and not for someone else.

Regardless how he managed to eat more than one DF, I think the interesting point going forward is how Oda will distinguish between BB and IMU. Because for a long time we've had BB linked to darkness on one hand, and a legendary Sea Mother who hates DFs on the other. Then IMU was revealed also with a darkness thematic, and BB could turn out to be linked to Davy Jones, who was cursed by the Sea.

If IMU can "gift" powers bypassing the DFs, and Davy's curse likewise turned him into a sea-like entity, able to contain powers and even nullify them, then that could be the origin of BB's anormality.

I would imagine Imu will look like a "classical" devil: horns, claws, tail. And Teach's future zoan moreso of an animalistic demon. Maybe like the aforementioned Baphomet.

The only thing is, well...it's kind of hard to be like a kraken or leviathan in a series where users can't swim.

That's why I believe BB's anormality will be the key to everything. If he can keep the devils of DFs separated within his body, without them coming into contact with one another, then maybe he can insulate them away from the sea, too, letting his swim at leisure without feeling the effect of the sea.

Lastly, I think if you look at BB's fights you can see what he stands for, thematically/what his future holds for him.
He fought Ace, the fire, a parallel to the sun and therefore Nika, portraying BB as darkness and potentially the Moon.
He was destroyed by Magellan, the devil in charge of the underworld prison, meaning that either BB stands no change against IMU, or that they're different "breeds" of evil.

And he fought a true D. interested in the history of the name and its legacy, likely hinting that the Marshalls are the traitors within the D. clans.

So, BB could be the moon god pretending to be a devil and masquerading as a freedom-loving D. only to backstab them when it's more convenient.
