Nah I think Saint Shanks probably ganged up on him with the Red Hairs, but I definitely do not think Loki calling Saint Shanks a coward was pointless. Why would Loki call Saint Shanks a coward if Saint Shanks beat him in a fair 1v1. Lol

Tbh, I don't really agree with the idea that Oda is super attached to dick sucking Shanks in particular. He has been highlighted since Luffy became a yonko for sure, but I don't really think Oda will ruin Op for Shanks or something.

I think Oda is subverting with Saint Shanks. The purpose of building him up as Mr. Goody goody perfect was to eventually show Luffy how little he actually knew about Saint Shanks and that Saint Shanks was never who Luffy thought he was.

This all started when Loki called Saint Shanks a coward, and ever since then Oda has been continuously telling us that Saint Shanks was never who Luffy thought he was. Loki definitely didn’t call Saint Shanks a coward for no reason.
