That doesn't seem to be the case with Sanji.. as his main goal on Kamabaka was primarily to fight off the obstacles Iva put in place and win recipes accordingly and through that indirectly he'd grow stronger.. No haki centric goal. Just fight for your life, no matter the cost and meet up with Luffy after 2 years

- while fighting haki users.. 99 Kama masters and probably countless subordinates.. Just to understand haki, develop Sky walk, master CoO to absurd extents and massive range, grasp CoA.

Given all this, it certainly doesn't seem inaccurate to say that he built his base in haki all on his own, and not only that he uses his fire abilities to hone his CoA substantially.

You see this trend of the other 2 having a certain grasp of CoO with their affinity in Haki (Coa for Zoro and Coc for luffy) during pre TS.
Both of them had Tutors that especially trained them in their respective haki affinities albeit they trained foundation of CoO and CoA respectively.
