You mean Luffy and Kid at the end of Act One? Shows the two of them have a very similar personality, implies that both's grudge against Kaido will be a major part of the arc and that Kid will probably play a big role in his defeat. None of which means they have to be equals- contemporaries, sure, but not equals.
