BlackbeardMorgott's in-game strength should've reflected his lore importance.
In the base storyline game, he should've been the hardest boss after Radagon, Godfrey and Maliketh.
Plus you need 3 great runes to reach him instead of 2, to highlight the significance of unlocking Leyndell and challenging the monarch.
Elder Lee HungYeah basically in game Morgott is weak as hell when in lore he potentially beat Radahn and is equal in strength to the other Demigods who are all way stronger than him in game. Minus Radahn who got nerfed to shit by rot.
BlackbeardHis initial dialogue before the fight starts gave me the impression he could solo multiple demigods lol.
"Godrick the Golden. The twin prodigies, Miquella and Malenia. General Radahn. Praetor Rykard. Lunar Princess Ranni.
Wilful traitors, all."
The man had all the setup needed to paint him as the last standing wall before Elden Beast itself but Fromsoft fumbled hard.
Also the fact that Morgott is the commander of the Night Cavalry, my absolute, most favorite enemies in souls games, is the icing on the cake.
Elder Lee HungHawkshaw’s interpretation of Morgott’s lore implies that Morgott was freed from the sewers long before the Shattering and served as Marika and Radagon’s secret assassins, quietly killing the heroes who could threaten their order
Elder Lee HungI don’t think he could have solo’d the demigods but he was definitely right there with them in terms of power, literally he was the one who held the Shattering stalemate as Leyndell did not fall with him in power
BlackbeardMorgott was more of a Golden Order enforcer, while Maliketh was Marika's actual black ops commando. These two kept the balance of the lands between.
Such a shame these two extremely cool characters sacrificed their lives for the Virgin Order.
EmperorKinyagiMorgott is definitely below Mohg canonically no matter what lore interpretation you have imo
Morgott’s ultimate self hate bloodflame attacks are literally Mohg’s base attacks
Elder Lee HungMohg is communing with an Outer God lol, so his power is distorted
EmperorKinyagiMohg does drop more runes than any base game boss besides Malenia and RadaBeast.
He’s definitely intended to be above Morgott, the way his omen version appears around the same time you fight Morgott shows it’s meant to build up to him
Elder Lee HungWe have no way to scale Mohg without his Outer God lol
It is really Mohg who probably has the worst portrayal among the Demigod children. Even with an Outer God he got charmed by Miquella.
