A subtle detail which distinguishes this design is not only the color, but specifically the shape of Ryokugyu's shoes. In his introductory panel, his shoes are cut-off so in the colored manga, they had to draw the rest of it first before coloring it, and they drew his shoes disproportionately large, and rounded. For this rendition, they were drawn far are proportional and with pointed boots, which look far better.
