Even Kakashi with his Sharingan and natural talent had no idea how to counter Zabuza's mist
He used his own blood then made his dogs track the smell. Someone like Kabuto is completely at his mercy

Kabuto will face the same difficulty against the Sharingan as his master did. Definitely not saying he's getting washed like Orochi, but it will bring the w home to Konoha.

Apart from that yes I have no issue saying Kabuto is equal in stats to Kakashi.
