I had so many high hopes for that in One Piece with some of the Supernova, Vegapunk and such and I was even saying recently I thought Nami might be the Dorothy Gale of OP too! It would fit so well and she did get whisked away to meet some weather wizards and has become a weather witch herself ofc! Oh yeah, Emeth and Kuma both show robots and cyborgs can experience love too, Oda has hinted non-organic/non-huma things in One Piece can have souls, can "breathe" and feel love too IIRC, I really love that kind of thinking. Its all extremely spiritual and fantastical and such. Extremely deep meaning.

That would make a lot of sense, I have wondered why Luffy has weapon names for attacks like that but the Astro Boy reference could work too. Luffy does adore robots and thus Franky would be proud as well lmao. Emeth too naturally. Emeth will probably inspire Franky and Luffy now you mention it.
