Miyazaki does interviews where he explains the general thought process behind their games. Like he explained the scadutree fragments system half a year before the dlc released. For nightreign he said that fromsoft’s main focus is still single player titles and these are experiments for future online elements.

The FROM community has always been delusional lmfao. The amount of people who refuse to accept that Elden Ring is just a high budget re-skin of Dark Souls is shocking. The truth is that Sekiro and Nightreign are far bigger departure from the formula than Elden Shit, but because Elden Shit was so good, people turn a blind eye to the fact that it was just a borderline asset re-skin

it;s a shame that ER didn't borrow either the increased mobillity and speed of Blooodborne, or Sekiro's deflection. would have made their more ambitious fights easier to manage imo.

Yeah Elden Ring started development slightly before Sekiro. I think the hard deflect tear in the dlc is an indication they probably would have had the parry from the beginning otherwise
