The reasons to still believe in Zoro vs King are:
* The normal formula: Zoro normally faces the antagonist's strongest subordinate.
* King is a very strong swordsman (his blade appears to be a Meitou).
* Zoro has expressed an interest in cutting fire/a fire sword.
* Zoro has been (by far) the second most prominent character on the alliance's side, it's very unlikely that Marco will outshine Zoro in Wano.

If Zoro does fight Kaido, it jeopardises the normal formula, so that argument (perhaps the strongest in favour of Zoro vs King) is significantly weakened. It looks unlikely that Zoro will fight both King and Kaido.

Zoro vs Who's Who / Sanji vs Sasaki (both are probably not All Star level but close, perfect opponents for Zoro and Sanji who clearly are not at such a high level yet to beat an All Star on their own or do anything against a Yonko)

@TheAncientCenturion: honey please don't troll on my profile. When Zoro attacked Orochi in canon he was completely helpless and was about to get neg diffed before Denjiro's intervention. Such a coward cannot be Zoro's main 1 vs 1 fight in the arc.

Another reason for scepticism of Marco vs King is that Oda is unlikely to fully flesh out any fight Marco has as he has little connection/emotional investment in the arc (think of the role Sabo had in Dressrosa). It is kind of weird to largely off panel the defeat of Kaido's strongest subordinate.

I heavily Doubt Oda would have Zoro fight against Jack or Queen , Zoro is either Gonna fight King or Fight Kaido
