Owl KiI mean, Kingdom does logically sound like it could be an adaptation of Romance of the Three Kingdoms and it isn't helped that any cursory glance is hindered by everybody having Japanese names instead of their historical Chinese ones. Lol.
MangoSenpai@Owl Ki there's a simple reason for that phenomenon though, while many of us westerners tend to think Chinese and Japanese sounds similar and samey, but that's in most cases not accurate.
Some of the pronunciations are nigh impossible, and also add on the fact that the same character (Kanji/Hanzī) can have vastly different ways of reading from one language to the other
Owl Ki@MangoSenpai I was more talking about it from the perspective of the English translation audience. Lu Bu is in Record of Ragnarok for example and his translated name for the English readers is just Lu Bu, not his Japanese equivalent.
