Old Hunters is definitely the best out of any soulslike DLC. I can’t think of any other game that is carried by its DLC the way Bloodborne is

I've never played Bloodborne, but the second DLC for Dark Souls 3 is still challenging for me.

If I were ranking fromsoft DLCs with overture it probably goes something like
1. Old Hunters
2. Ringed City
3. SOTE
4. Overture
5. Artorias of the Abyss
6. DS2 DLCs (iron king is the best)
7. Ashes of Ariandel

None of them are bad though, the main thing affecting my ranking is the price. I feel like if I spent full price on AoA I would feel scammed

The Lies DLC was interesting to me because of the soundtrack and the final Boss
And for my peers, the Pinocchio story was a nice nostalgic treat.

I agree with the ost take @EmperorKinyagi

Consort Radahn genuinely has one of the only 5 good osts in ER. Lies of P has mid boss soundtrscks but stuff like Feel are great
EmperorKinyagi
EmperorKinyagi
Most SOTE OSTs are great imo
Nightreign OSTs are fire too
base game is a mixed bag

I prefer Overture over Rigged City. I also felt like Overture's length was pretty long. Also it didn't feel random to me. Every area tells the story of Carlo, his family, Romeo and Lea

By random I mean a lot of the encounters just kind of happen, like with Markiona for example you don’t have a reason to fight her she just gets you confused for someone else and attacks lmao
EmperorKinyagi
EmperorKinyagi
And most of the stalker/alchemist encounters kind of just happen cuz you’re there. Like Alidoro literally just vibes you out “ahh you seem like a trustworthy random fellow let me tell you about Lea” lmao

Nightreign osts are amazing. Libra has my favorite ost in a souls game. No shadow of the erdtree ost impressed me that much outside of Lion

I think basically all of the SOTE remembrance osts are good.
Even the more mid stuff is cool stuff like Metyr’s second phase OST being an IRL black hole sound effect remixed or Bayle having cello chords to reference GoT music and Balerion

Midra's is good but they aren't mind blowing or anything

I would rate most SOTE OSTs over say Midir’s though for example
Elder Lee Hung
Elder Lee Hung
Yeah Radagon, Elden Beast, and Miquella/Radahn have the only memorable sound tracks in ER
EmperorKinyagi
EmperorKinyagi
I think Dancing Lion’s ost is better than all of those lmao

Also might be a hot take but I don’t actually like Elden Beast’s OST, I wouldn’t even say it’s top 5 in base game over Mohg or Lichdragon
TheKnightOfTheSea
TheKnightOfTheSea
Fair point. Tbh it makes sense later once you learn Markonia experimented on Camile, the first awakened puppet and mother of Carlo
TheKnightOfTheSea
TheKnightOfTheSea
Nah Midir's is amazing

My top 5 ER ost:
1. Radagon.
2. Dancing Beast
3. Mohg.
4. Godskin.
5. Lichdragon

I would say that the fourth best theme in Nightreign, Gnoster clears all but Radagon's
