Basically the whole concept of looking for good weapons / spells is made completely moot by everyone getting a legendary storm ruler

Yeah it sucks. Looks cool though. Based off aesthetics alone I get the impression it's supposed to be related to the Elden Beast in some way

Also, everyone getting a storm ruler sort of invalidates character selection. You may as well just pick a full team of Raiders for maximum tankiness + evasiveness combo since everyone deals damage the exact same way. Or maybe like a whole team of Dutchess for evasiveness, the point is that character selection mattering is heavily nerfed in this fight

Agreed. Although tbf that was always a complaint with storm ruler fights, they invalidated most build decisions

What relics? I've used every single other nightfarer at least 10 times but he's the only boring one

-Successful guarding deals damage to enemy relic
-Ultimate heals allies while holding the right trigger (it already makes allies completely invincible in base and fully revives them)
His ultimate is already the best ultimate in the game without a freaking question even without the healing relic.

He is also by far the best character in the game at taking advantage of “walking” buffs like falling stars of ruin and flame of frenzy as when using steal guard he counts as “walking” meaning you can literally shit out hundreds of damage by simply walking with steal guard if you have both of these buffs

He also is the only character who effectively takes advantage of guard counter buffs and there are some pretty useful ones.
