Elder Lee HungDenjiro is probably around = to Shutenmaru and Jack the Dragdown looked way worse against Shutenmaru than 2 Sword per-Enma Zoro looked against Denjiro.
Cinera@Admiral Lee Hung: Denjiro >= Shutenmaru IMO. He was the last of the Scabbards to be introduced, and the only one that underwent a transformation post Oden's death due to the rage he felt (he mentioned being possessed by a demon of anger). Shutenmaru also hyped him up as a demon with the blade.
CineraInjured 2 sword Zoro held up better against a stronger opponent than Jack did, and there's a substantial gap (medium difficulty) between two sword Zoro and three sword Zoro.
The moment Zoro could improvise (not even a katana, let alone a meitou, just improvisation with a scythe) a third sword, Zoro blitzed and oneshot Killer: https://i.imgur.com/oTcgoTk.png
CineraThat's the difference between two sword Zoro and three sword Zoro, it's much larger than the difference between two sword Zoro and Kyoshiro.
The only case I see for Jack being able to win, is if Kyoshiro is not a mid high tier and is just a low high tier. I seriously doubt it though,
Cinera@ShishioIsBack changed his mind and now thinks Jack is stronger, so I'm waiting for his take on this. Shishio is my sanity check for Zoro wank. If I ever find myself rating Zoro above what Shishio says (like my Zoro's punches = G3 thread), then I'm doing something terribly wrong.
Cinera@playa4321: I see you liking posts, gimme your take.
:attachpol:
Tyki_MikkZoro was hell nerfed during his battle against Kyoshiro, even though he was serious the damage which he take in previous day was too much and also his main weapon was left and we shouldn´t forget how strong he became because of Shuisui. Pre enma training Zoro would beat most like Kyoshiro in a extrem high diff, right now probably lower end of high diff. But we need more feats, for sure Kyoshiro is the strongest RS.
Elder Lee Hung@Cinera i agree that Denjiro is probably >= Shutenmaru and is the strongest scabbard
CineraThe only question is the issue of hoe Kyoshiro vs Jack goes. I can see Jack being stronger, but Kyoshiro should at least be on the YC 3 level (not inferior to Base Dukes). At any rate, Pre Enma Santoryu Zoro should at the very least be on their level, and through scaling from Kyoshiro, he has a good argument to be stronger.
FinalbetaPre Enma Zoro should have been around YC3.5 level considering the way he treated Hawkins and Pica
FinalbetaI suppose he wouldn't have been able to defeat Cracker unless unleashing Asura, that would have rendered him close to Katakuri's level or even at his level
TheAncientCenturionShutenmaru is equal in ability and power to Inuarashi, who is a distinct level below Jack the Drought. Being able to momentarily gain an advantage on no-DF Jack is impressive but not an end—all—be—all feat. As a CQC fighter, his DF enhances him significantly.
TheAncientCenturionThis also is you assuming Kyoshiro is doing anything but playing around with Zoro. The action seemed more like Kyoshiro blocking Zoro's way than them having an intense duel. It's cool that injured Zoro wasn't molly whopped but it was ever Kyoshiro's intent to harm Zoro.
Cinera@TheAncientCenturion:
* Shutenmaru might have been holding back against Inuarashi.
* Yes, Kyoshiro wasn't trying his hardest to kill Zoro, but Oda told us (through his underlings) that Zoro could keep up with him:
TheAncientCenturionThey looked serious, and even if you want to use that argument: Inuarashi can be holding back an equal amount.
It doesn’t even appear that Kyoshiro wanted to kill Zoro.
CineraTrying to insist that Kyoshiro was toying with Zoro is denying the manga. If Kyoshiro was toying (or otherwise substantially restricting himself) vs Zoro, then Oda wouldn't have said:
"Zolojuro's tough!! He's keepin' up with Boss Kyoshiro!!"
TheAncientCenturionTrying to assert that Kyoshiro was serious is giving into shameless bias, considering Kyoshiro’s motives and the fact Zoro itself demands Kyoshiro step aside.
TheAncientCenturionHe was acting as Orochi’s protector not Zoro’s executioner. He benefits from Zoro and his allies (who at this point he probably suspects are with Kinemon as he found the hidden message). Why would Kyoshiro try to kill an ally?
