im personally not a fan of him and his friend group (The Anime Man, Gigguk) tbh. They're always miserable about anything anime yet their content is mostly 95% anime related topics and their takes are (pun intended) trash and often contrarian to the public. They don't face any competition since they're pretty much the only English speaking content creators in the anime/otaku sphere

and as a result famous seiyuu/voice actors in Japan like Ai Farouz gravitate to ppl like them if they want to get 'connections' to the English speaking audience, when there should be better choices. almost how Stephen A Smith in sports has a vice grip on the NBA yet has 0 knowledge (if you actually pay attention) but because ppl like trolling, he is always relevant.

the only thing i can respect is his friendship/interactions with IronMouse (disabled/bedridden) and actively tries to help her out in midst of her debilitating conditions IRL

i will always dislike influencers that continue to spread misinformation and grift and generate hot takes for views/revenue especially in a place where there is not that many english speaking presence. I'd much rather prefer someone that is objective and appreciative of the genre but the average person does not care about that, much like casuals and bandwagons in sports

unless you are an avid fan of their opinions (if so, why?), literally 99% of their content is trying to farm engagement with pretty much every commentor disagreeing with their takes

as a content creator myself I can tell that they try to keep things as authentic as possible

that's not the type of content creator i will ever support if you're just doing it for show/facade, no sensible human being will have the takes that they have if you actually take the time to watch/objectively analyze
