It's a good site, although there are ads and a lot of AI art. I will say though that a lot of the AI stuff on there looks way more aesthetically pleasing than the "slop" we're used to seeing. And if you choose the right search terms you can strike gold.

Yeah there's AI. I will say that most of it at least looks far better than the deranged stuff on DA.
I get these corner ads because I use the app. Browsing with adblock should be fine though imo.
And at the very least Pinterest doesn't have a tiresome bunch of top bananas who keep adding weird stuff that nobody wants (DA's chat, Eclipse).

through a lot of changes and thus controversial ones at that like with Youtube (god the newest UI on Youtube is the most bottom of the barrel, user unfriendly, unpleasant shit they've ever done), s oI can imagine why people would get frustrated with DA too.
Even though Pinterest site has issues, I can imagine the app is still pretty decent to use, I did use it briefly in the past and got addicted for a short while

App for Pinterest is decent yeah. Have not experienced very intrusive ads yet.

It really needs competition. Monopolies like this are really bad and are a big part of today's problems.Need more alternatives.

Aye I completely agree, it has no place in DA to anywhere near that degree especially. Its like the moment in Simpsons of Smithers with the women dancing in his face but a much worser version of that ofc lol.
Yeah exactly, all bad publicity is still free publicity and unfortunately its far superior at getting exposure than the "good stuff" especially for the lowest effort and consistently highest returns.
