@Sentinel the crazier part is, the gap between 8G and 7G is exponentially greater than the gap between 7G and Base Gai. Kishi probably had 8G's potential to be far lower originally and just something that puts him over high Kage levels but the powercreep in Shippuden was so crazy and he'd held back the form for so long, he HAD to make it near god tier to make it seem impressive.
