Elder Lee HungBut yes totally agree, Sekiro combat is peak FROM and Elden Shit can’t compare
Blackbeard@MonochromeYoru IIRC yes but there was no special dialogue? I do regret wasting several sake drinks on the hag when Isshin was just few meters away.
I'm aware there is another harder Owl encounter but I have yet to find it.
MonochromeYorudon't kill the main boss in fountainhead palace. that will lock out the path to the other owl.
BlackbeardIchimonji double and the skill that allows using arts mid-air made Owl and the monk significantly easier than they should, you get constant posture regen.
Also getting a free deathblow on the Corrupt Monk from the tree branch jump kind of defeated the purpose of him having three deathblow bars to me.
I have yet to dive into the underwater cave, thanks for saving me there.
MonochromeYoruyou gonna try to find the other owl on your own? i don't wanna spoil if you are
Blackbeard@MonochromeYoru I assume you have to trigger something with the sculpture? Because I vividly remember getting spoiled by someone fighting him in a burning area, so I went to Hirata where you first meet him yet nothing is there.
BlackbeardI won't look up anything until I absolutely feel hopeless though.
Elder Lee Hung@Blackbeard if you’re like me, you’ll need YouTube to find owl father because that shit is his hidden af, but it is the superior Owl fight and the second best in the game imo.
BlackbeardOwl 1st fight is my favorite up to this point in story, you telling me there is a better encounter?
I will pause fountainhead and search for the other one...
Elder Lee HungYes, Owl Father is the superior Owl battle. Great Shinobi Owl is like a tutorial for Owl Father.
If you do the Gauntlets of Strength after you beat the game, there are three “Inner” boss fights including Inner Genichiro and Inner Owl. They are basically the same fights but with some added moves. I wouldn’t say they are better or worse than the ordinary fights, they are just of the same quality really.
Can I now beat the game and still be able to fight Owl?
Elder Lee HungI’m not sure tbh. I would fight Owl first. He is not as hard as the final two bosses anyway so this is a good place for him.
MonochromeYoruIt's only if you don't have the bell before killing the palace boss that you're locked out. But yeah, owl should be beaten before the final boss cause that fits better thematically and all.
Alright, @Owl Ki Father down. Most satisfying win ever. Flawless boss.
I progressed in game far enough to have only Isshin, Demon of Hatred and Owl left. All three folded me equally so I kept jumping between them to find who is the least difficult to take down first, and Owl it was, admittedly after a dozen tries. Can't believe Inner versions are even tougher than these three.
Elder Lee HungDemon of Hatred was the first ever FROM boss to make me lose my sanity, that boss was absolute hell for me back in the day.
Isshin was the first ever FROM boss to lead me to Nirvana. I still maintain that Isshin is the best boss ever.
BlackbeardI don't even know what to do with Demon of Hatred.
The only other major boss left for me is Isshin but starting him first will lock DoH away.
I'm lowkey just roaming around trying to farm remaining mini-bosses, best I could was push DoH past two deathblows before getting folded.
MonochromeYorubeating isshin won't lock demon away.
demon is a fun fight once you learn all the mechanics.
