and i am aware that they're more rare compared to the "mainstream" queer identities, so i can see why they're not nearly as popular, but i still want to see them be represented more. i think the idea of being inherently indifferent to sex or romance, which are heavily ingrained into our society, is a very interesting concept.

That's because the point of a fiction is to tell a story, not to represent some specific type of individuals. If your plot revolves around the sexuality of an individual, it's neither compelling nor appealing.
