I mean, one of the late game power systems for OP (Haki) wasn't even know until around 400 chapters lol. And no, this isn't a defence of Naruto. It's a BIG 3 shonen thing. Make it just obtuse enough in the early stages that you can be flexible with all the ass pulls you want.
