CineraYou're our resident liberal, so you're probably the expert here?
CineraI think Yamato's gender identity is male and so we should respect that.
Jew D. BoyI think you’re right...I’ve been iffy on the pronouns because I’m still not sure if Yamato just considers her(him?)self a man because (s)he wants to be Oden, but the Kiku bit also makes me feel that if we’re gonna call her a woman, then if Yamato feels like a man, he’s a man.
Hahaha, even a bleeding heart liberal cuck snowflake can learn and grow every day!! 🥴
HA001Yamato isnt the same as kiku.
Kiku wants to be seen as a woman.
Yamato is just pretending to be oden who was a man. If oden was a woman shed pretend to be oden the woman.
Yamato is a woman. The point is veing oden. Not gender itself as it is with kiku.
Cinera@HA001: that's a good counterpoint — Yamato's self identity is Oden — they don't have a strong gender identity the way Kiku does.
CineraHowever, there's still the point about them being Kaido's son.
HA001Wano and daughters inheriting stuff dont really go in hand. E.g kuina and the dojo. It may just be that.
CineraFor now, I'll start using the gender neutral pronouns ("they", "them", "their") and switch to male pronouns if a consensus emerges that it's the correct choice or after I become more comfortable with it.
