Jew D. Boy@Trismegistus The two party system holds far too much power and influence, and everything that can be considered a public issue has to be viewed through that narrow lens. Also, people love voting against their own self interests, seemingly just because they can...
Kinda the same thing is with Hungary. Since the current prime minister is the prime minister everything in Hungary has been getting worse for those who aren’t billionaires.
I don’t mean the covid situation since it is handelt there quite well. But the currency and the payments. Since they have so much power, they can easily influence the votings.
Jew D. Boy@Trismegistus That’s definitely a huge, recurring problem in my country as well...absolutely sickening that a small cabal of the richest (and most corrupt) villains get to set the rules for everybody else in the world.
YuelynHere in Austria the news even talked about the hungarian prime minister how he influences/manipulates the media around the country.

We definitely need to talk about politics while drunk or high one day.
Dunno about you but I'm President/Lawyer/Doctor and every single high person you can think of while I'm drunk or high haha.
bennbeckman@Seth Rollins i can get on board with that. The most messed up thing about politics is that it's easier to believe a conspiracy then actual truth.
Covid is a perfect example, masks, believeing it will magically disappear like beetle juice
PantheosThe field is big, the virus, the pandemic, the results in public, politics... big essay if we want to talk about all of that :D
Yuelyn@bennbeckman Some don’t believe that it will disappear because of that. And that’s why they aren’t wearing one.
bennbeckmanIm most curious about the politics behind it from your perspective, just because politics is what has made this mess (esp in US) so much worse
PantheosIn my opinion, the politics in Germany and Austria have handled it pretty well. Sure with mistakes, but that happens in a situation never was there before. The US... sorry if I need to say it like that, but your president is not able to rule anything and made huge mess of your state.
Many people think bad about Merkel, I am no fan either, but the crisis she had to deal with, it was dealt very well with so far.
bennbeckmanGermany is another country that has been more ahead of the curve. Donald trump and the people on the right called it a hoax and that it'll disappear. The issue with them is no accountability in their own party it's always blame game. fucking frustrating

Formerly Seth@Pantheos I don't like Merkel either but I think she holds the country by its balls basically. I hate her refugee politics but hey you live in Germany you live a decent life.
My cousin worked at the Garbage truck? You know the one to take out garbage and stuff and he was making x2 money I make in Poland so xDDDD.
