I would go with Berserk. Much better art, amazing characters with some great development from the main character(best mc of all time imo), and what I believe to be a better story from start to finish. Also, Berserk's epic moments are just flat out better.

HxH had potential to be better than any other manga of our time, the thing you notice about HxH is the consistency, Togashi never traded quality with quantity ... The manga started strong and remained strong despite the repeated hiatuses. You would think HxH has a vague story regarding its MC (Gon) but it still attracts you the same way a very good story would, which is another awesome thing about HxH.

I just recently finished reading Berserk, I plan on reading kingdom starting the 16th of the current month.

Nice raid Ali lol. And yeah Berserk and Kingdom are my all time #1 and #2 by a pretty wide margin. Guts is my favorite fictional character of all time too.

Guts is the best manga MC, hands down.
Guts character showed us every emotion a man has in such a unique way to the point, even we men, stand shocked when digesting how good written he is.
I have never seen this in another character, and to top it off, Guts does it on a regular basis, 360 episodes and he never fails to amaze the readers.

I’m no character fanboy, but some characters such as guts demand respect regardless.

I think Guts is the only character I can see light himself and a horde of ravenous demon hornets aflame, wait until the demon hornets burn to death, then extinguish the flames around himself by slicing open a demon embryo egg and using the blood and guts to extinguish the flame, and think to myself: “This character is so deep” lol

Wether you are a dude who likes a character to slaughter his way to reach his goal, or you want a character to have some deep and sensible monologues or Touching conversations with other characters Or you are looking for a character that despite being so strong, becomes weak in the eyes of his beloved.
Guts is that character. Only guts.
