I agree that it’s sad watching all these liberal figureheads rallying behind Joe and Kamala when any progressive is as repelled by this ticket as they are a Donnie/Mikey redux...but what else can the Obamas even do at this point?? We reached critical mass in fucking 2017, our options are pathetic and limited.

Michelle is probably the most powerful voice Democrats can muster! I don't know how the Democratic supporters in this forum view this but rising superstars like AOC and Kamala tend to antagonize many people. Their words do not resonate beyond their base.

When Michelle speaks, it doesn't feel like that she is antagonizing anybody. So her voice has much bigger outreach.

She is popular and speaks to a base the dem want to come to vote aka the minorities and black people. This is the same reaosn the put a black woman as vice pres. On the other side if you note there was not Hilary there to pump up the base cause she is not very popular and means nothing for the minorities, unlike Mr and mrs Obama.
