Crocodile has not demonstrated awakening. Doffy's trump card was God Thread.
Sentinel
Sentinel
Croco indicated that he has perfect DF mastery which includes Awakening as well. Also, Croco was the first person mentioning Awakening itself.
Cinera
Cinera
Awakening seems to be exclusively the province of high high tiers and above (the *mindless beasts* of Impel Down notwithstanding). Doffy was able to block attacks on the scale of Double Culverin with Off White. His attacks became stronger and his range covered the entire island. All in all, Doffy's awakening was more impressive than Katakuri's.
Bogard
Bogard
Doffy was getting destroyed by the same Boundman that Cracker could match, next

@Sentinel awakening is so hyped (and rare) that if Crocodile could use it Oda would have highlighted it. Crocodile simply stating he could use it would suffice. Otherwise Luffy recalling Crocodile using Awakening during his fight with Kata. Until more information emerges Crocodile isn't awakened.
Sentinel

I wouldn't claim that yet. In fact DD used it as a trump card whereas someone like Katakuri made clear that it is obvious that they have something like that and thus, suggesting that Awakening is nothing impressive for them. Also, DD has basic haki at best and it seems advanced haki is very important for the mightest fighters like high high tiers and top tiers.
Cinera

@Bogard that was post Gamma Knife Doffy, and @Veku has a very good argument that Cracker had a matchup advantage.

Furthermore, Off White blocked Double Culverin.

God Thread seemed to be a mode/modifier for attacks and while 16 Holy Bullets got crushed by King Kong Gun, perhaps it could have matched weaker Boundman attacks.

And DD's Awakening failed to block a headbutt attack. Thus, headbutt attack >> Double Culverin.
Besides, you mean BC but I'm talking about his Awakening which covered a town at best. No, Kata's Awakening is more impressive AND more versatile.
Sentinel
Sentinel
Oda already highlighted Croc's DF mastery, so moot point.
Sentinel

Veku can claim as much as he likes but I provided several times that DD was a far worse matchup for Bound Man than Cracker.
Cinera

Luffy did use his strongest finisher to date on Doffy (and was subsequently incapacitated for 3 days).

Basw Doffy (who should be at least a level below Awakened Doffy) mid diffed a YC 4 level character in Law.
Cinera
Cinera
Doffy's Bird Cage has island wide AOE and is able to trap a top tier and a high tier requiring the physical strength of an entire army (including said top tier and high tier) to even temporarily halt its advance.
Cinera
Cinera
We have on panel evidence of Doffy parasiting a mid high tier (Jozu) and making them his footstool. That's decisive portrayal that Doffy is above said mid high tier.

> And DD's Awakening failed to block a headbutt attack. Thus, headbutt attack >> Double Culverin.

@Sentinel could have just been plot. :madmonk:
Sentinel

Luffy used his strongest attack to break through God Thread + Spider Web. He would have perhaps needed it as well if Cracker had 15 biscuit soldiers in front of him.

Match-up circumstances matter. DD forced Law on CQC which is not his main forte. He wouldn't mid diff Shutenmaru or the Dukes on CQC.
Sentinel
Sentinel
True, DD's BC is island lv but everything else is below that when it comes of Area of Effect.
Sentinel
Sentinel
We have an on panel of DD parasiting the MC who pummeled him before. But that mortally wounded MC resisted the control and used G4th. This is not a portrayal of DD'a superiority against mid high tiers.
Sentinel
Sentinel
No, I don't accept this plot excuse. Double Culverin failed to destroy two threads whereas a headbutt attack managed to break through two building sized threads.
Sentinel
Sentinel
I'd rather see DD vs Jozu whether Parasite is really a huge factor to determinate DD's powerlevel among the high tiers.
