Don't remember lol. I like the anime for the good animation, smooth scenes and great music. @Shuyaku might be the person to ask. Manga has a bit of a different ending.

Manga has extra dialogue and more fleshed out scenes, it's better than the anime aside from the ending.

Btw, imagine watching Death Note for the first time in 2020 and spouting a popular opinion like "it gets worse after L dies", go back to Myspace Genos7.
