Yep still happens to me you see other series and you think to yourself why can’t op do this? It really open ur eyes to how flawed op is and what op should’ve been. Especially in series where all the characters get their shine and don’t get sidelined like the straw hats

Literally compare the Reverie arc to the Succession War. Both are kinda similar.... but the difference in quality is astounding.

Prime One Piece was great though. Water Sega through to the Timeskip was fantastic. Water Seven Saga hits all the points perfectly. One Piece now is a shell of its self.

what makes hxh so good is it’s story telling the way the arc plays it feels natural in yorknew how kurapika was driving the plot and the arc was about him yet even tho gon is mc he wasn’t forced down our throats and didn’t share and take away from kurapika

Yh if it was OP, then Gon wouldve fought Mereum. And even though that would be epic....it would ultimately mean nothing. Since there was zero set up. However there was perfect amount of set up for Gon vs Pitou. And even though it was a neg diff, the impact was great and fulfilling.
HxH is just so good with payoffs.
It gave us many great fights that werent even linked to the MCs.
