Then later EoS Naraku became stronger after getting Shikon no Tama. But Sesshomaru also gained power up with new sword that casually killed 1000 (or some thousands in the manga) demons casually in 1 swing and regaining his lost arm.
It's no hope anymore for Naraku after Sesshomaru got that power up.

Put Sesshomaru in a situation where he has no one to protect, doesn't need to care about the collateral damage and he murders Naraku. Bakusaiga cut down the incarnation of the Shikon no Tama's evil will already and can stop any regeneration. Naraku's strongest skill. I'd say Inuyasha EoS is obviously stronger though, he has too many powerful abilities like the portal to muugen and shit.

Right, Bakusaiga can cancel regeneration, Naraku is fucked.
Come to think of it, the ending was kinda anticlimatic. We have 2 guys stronger than EoS Naraku and some supports (Kagome etc) all teaming up on 1 weaker final villain.

Sesshomaru was portrayed to be stronger but Naraku was more cunning.
