Most of my recreation currently comes from fandom. I read fanfiction, discuss some series on forums, Discord and Reddit, and chat with friends/acquaintances I made.

When I'm less invested in fandom, my recreation comes from other interestsl I have. But it's still the same social experience of discussing something I'm invested in with like minded people. Or just socialising with acquaintances/friends I made through such endeavours.

Hmm, I haven't read OP fanfics in a while, but I generally just read fanfics about my favourite characters in general.

There are some times I read fanfiction that's more ambitious in nature (e.g. rewrites of canon with a few key premise of elaborate alternate universes), but I don't peruse them as often.

I guess I tend to bond to a few characters in works I read and get invested in the story because of them. My fanfiction interests tend to focus on those characters.

I don't mind OCs in fandom, but I rarely read OC centric fanfic. In the first place, I only find stories to read by filtering on my favourite characters.

In One Piece, this often means Zoro, Mihawk or Perona.

Oh yikes, that is a loooong fanfic. It feels super daunting to start. I personally dislike fanfics that have Luffy as the MC, I just find him super OOC in fanfiction since his character in canon doesn't have thought bubbles or anything to give us insight into his thought process.

The Kuraigana trio are pretty fun to read about ngl. I like writing about them too.

Speaking of which, how did you find Mihawk x Hancock? Not a common pair to be the MCs of a fanfiction but I find I can really understand Mihawk's character and he's easy to write.
