Fine, if you must know...there’s a very popular manga called Dolzenabring 666 (D666 for short), and every week, Hexyaku18 manages to get the Korean release early. From there, he uses a VPN to fake his location, usually somewhere in Europe or the Balkans, to send it to me in America, where I provide the English translation for fans around the world.

In the course of doing this, Hexyaku18 has been hounded by Interpol, every major country’s intelligence force, and his own mother trying to get him to stop funneling illegal scans to me, but like the pro he is, he continues to evade capture.

For the 69th chapter (nice) of D666, he thought it would be a fun little footnote for the two of us if he sent me the scans from a Congolese IP because one of the main characters in the series hails from there. What he didn’t know is that he previously bribed a government official who reported him to the authorities.

So there’s been an outstanding warrant for his arrest anywhere in the continent of Africa, and the US and UK preemptively announced that they would extradite him with impunity if he was caught in either location. He’s been on the run ever since, and the D666 fandom mourns his life on the lam only in that it makes things more difficult for me to release the translations each week.
