Robin knew Sabo was alive before Luffy found out, this is the most popular false equivalence...we have no indication that Yamato would spoil Laugh Tale, and she has no idea what the Dawn looks like because Oden didn’t get to witness it, so she wants to see it herself. Why is this so hard to accept?

As @solis and @Jew D. Boy: have said, there's no indication at all that Yamato will spoil Laugh Tale. Robin did not tell Luffy about his long lost brother because Oda wanted to keep it a surprise.

Even if Luffy does not explicitly ask Yamato not to spoil anything — a request she'll respect — Oda will prevent her from spoiling it anyway. Just like he had Robin keep her knowledge about Sabo to herself.

@Luffy is the mc: fundamentally, the majority of Yamato's character conception was designed as a nakama. Given the sheer weight of narrative in her favour, superficial arguments against it, are just unconvincing to me.
