ya maybe it wasn't a wise decision , but i think the idea of SSG being tested on Mihawk is quite reasonable , since it's mean to replace the Warlords , and Mihawk is the strongest Warlord , who is capable of fighting the Yonko/Admirals/Dragon equally

Making him retreat would hype a lot the SSG and but it will dehype Mihawk so Oda needs to be wise. Dehyping someone that basically lives off Zoro's hype and his title alone isn't a very good option Imo.

yeah i think it depends on how Oda will continue with Mihawk being Zoro's WSS fight or not
if he will continue , then maybe he won't hype SSG at the cost of Mihawk

i think Mihawk will end up with Shanks either way , even if he doesn't get used as a hypetool for SSG

Mihawk being with Shanks would basically make Shank's crew the strongest crew in the world and well...
And Mihawk is going to be Zoro's WSS fight 100%, after over 1000 chapters of building it up I can't see Oda changing it.
