I prefer some Japanese names over the translated ones. Some things, when translated, kinda lose their meaning imo. Like take for example nakama, I enjoy hearing nakama much more than just friend/crewmate or whatever.

I think "nakama" should be translated, but I find "friend" to be awkward, especially in the Arlong arc. "Nami! You belong to us!" has a better ring to it than "Nami! You're my friend!" and matches the context better: the major theme of Luffy VS Arlong.
