I think it like this: The thing about Kaido was his taste for breaking the spirits of strong people and make them join him. So far we had some random Gifters being the example of it. So I think it's cool showing him submit one of the WorstGen members, to show that this thing of his is legit. Brings more impact. I understand that it sucks for those who wanted more for Hawkins, myself included, but I think it's fine.
