@TheAncientCenturion I guess my serious reply would be that I'm not here for OP discussions — I came for the community and social experience — interacting with other members is why I visit Worstgen. Profile posts are a much lower stakes more casual method to interact than PMs.

I also feel more comfortable sending an unsolicited profile post than an unsolicited PM (I felt bad about it during Hurt and Heal, it's one of the reasons why I wouldn't lobby other users during this round). PMs also have more emotional valence?

Like I'll be more worried if someone doesn't reply a PM than if they didn't reply a profile post, so posting on their profile for casual chit chat is better for my mental health? Much less anxiety over them not replying.

There's also the fact that I get more than 50% of my entertainment from this forum, and I don't really enjoy OP discussions (outside power level ones anyway, but certain posters make that unhedonic) that much. I'd much rather get to know the other members of the forum better.
