CineraMarco disabling King's hax is not enough to defeat him. King's Ancient Zoan resilience is just that tough.
Cinera> if all you have to do to actually beat King is snuff out or damage the fire on his back
@AdmiralKinyagi: if this was true, Zoro wouldn't be unlocking Haoshoku coating in order to fight King.
EmperorKinyagiWe literally only saw 2 or 3 panels of Marco vs King over the course of 23 chapters (thats how long they fought) and in those 2-3 panels Marco drew blood and overpowered King physically.
King’s hax absolutely could have come into play.
Topi Jerami@Cinera you probably instantly think that I am just trolling with whole King > Fujitora post.
EmperorKinyagi@Cinera COC won’t be enough for Zoro to beat King since King literally gives no fucks that Zoro has it and his Lunarian abilities still haven’t been explained.
It’s obvious that King has some sort of invincibility gimmick based on his race since all other first commanders we’ve seen have one.
EmperorKinyagi@Topi Jerami If you’re suggesting that a one panel clash between Zoro and Fujitora is comparable to a full blown fight between Zoro and King….
Then I regret to inform you that there’s no way you can legally join the US military since there’s no way your IQ is over 83.
Cinera@Topi Jerami: I agree that King handled Zoro much better than Issho did.
King's physical strength is >> Issho.
CineraThat said, Issho has a busted Devil Fruit and never had a serious fight against Zoro.
EmperorKinyagiIssho didn’t handle Zoro. They clashed for 5 seconds.
Big Mom and Jimbei clashed for much longer.
You can’t compare clashes to actual fights.
Cinera> It’s obvious that King has some sort of invincibility gimmick based on his race since all other first commanders we’ve seen have one.
@AdmiralKinyagi: I don't disagree with this, but the point is that even without his invincibility gimmick, King can tank the following attacks:
* Marco's Blue Bird
* Marco's Knee Drop
* Zoro's Rengoku Oni Giri
* Zoro's Tatsumaki
CineraShi Shishi Sonson was the first on-panel attack that actually triggered the Lunarian hax. As such, I don't think Marco knowing or not knowing the gimmick helps him at all.
Topi Jerami@Cinera thing is, apparently if you attack Fujitora, his gravity power will be paused.
King overpowers gravity then sends flying slash once (just like what Zoro did), gravity paused, then King charged at him, and it turned into CQC.
RIP Fujitora.
Cinera> You can’t compare clashes to actual fights.
@AdmiralKinyagi: I agree. I don't think King is a Top Tier (not unless he shows Haoshoku coating).
EmperorKinyagi@Cinera The only one of those we can say King tanked without his gimmick is Tatsumaki and that’s because of his wings.
All of the other attacks were almost definitely subject to his gimmick since Zoro made a point about how he couldn’t draw blood.
Topi JeramiKinyagi once argued Fuji can lift rubble. But what happens if King charges at Fuji and the rubble falls on BOTH of them?
Who has higher chance to survive? Doesn't take a genius to answer this.
Cinera> All of the other attacks were almost definitely subject to his gimmick since Zoro made a point about how he couldn’t draw blood.
@AdmiralKinyagi: nope. We saw Rengoku Oni Giri draw blood on panel.
The attacks that couldn't draw blood were off panel.
EmperorKinyagi“Kinyagi once argued Fuji can lift rubble.”
B R U H
If this isn’t the most obvious straw man ever I don’t know what is
EmperorKinyagi@Cinera Let’s postpone this until we actually get full confirmation/explanation about what King’s hax is.
My whole point is that King’s hax is very likely fire related which potentially re-opens the whole Marco-King discussion since there’s an established dynamic between Phoenix fire and other flames.
Cinera> since there’s an established dynamic between Phoenix fire and other flames.
@AdmiralKinyagi: we have several direct comparisons between Phoenix fire and Lunarian fire and that dynamic was never shown.
