I was literally a hardcore fan before s8.
The show's quality was already way above everage in all regards in the early seasons and they managed to top that every season, but at one point they completely fucked up the story, just cause the showrunners wanted to make Star Wars and no clue how to end the series since they couldn't adapt the book material anymore.
