I don't think that is the case necessarily but it is very clear that Marco fought King and Queen when they were barely using their full abilities. The portrayal b/w Marco and King also makes it clear imo. If one's 100, the other's 99.

I'm not sold about that resiliency retcon. It can easily be explained by blood not being an indicator of damage regardless of context.
