I didn't say that the governments will respect your human rights. But we still have them.

You can never expect to be treated fairly, not even in times of "peace".

Citizens have right to refuse participating in war. But that's only in peace time. You have to join the army in war time. 'Good' countries like America use different methods to rope them in. But the objective is same.
Different countries have different rules. @Peroroncino is israel(?). They have to be in army/whatever force in emergency situation. It's in their rule book

No one has to abide by the so called "law" when it means going against basic laws of humanity.

But who created these basic laws of humanity? Is it America? Or UN?
you are under false belief that some higher authority is there and it will felicitate basic laws for everyone. People create government and government felicitates these rights. You can't claim rights on your own.
