@Doggo I understand that viewpoint but the way I saw it, he had his issues but he usually did what he thought was best (relationship stuff aside). I kinda wish they did more with him but overall, he was cool and him stopping Kuvira's mecha was my favourite scene (really showed how reliable he can be), plus his fight against Ming Hua was one of my favourites. I wished they used him better but I still liked him.

Personally I liked Mako a lot more in the latter two seasons than the first two.

@Cross_Marian Zaheer was my favourite villain, he was really compelling, though Amon and Kuvira were cool too. The villains overall were a high point for the series.
The producers actively tried to put Mako on more important roles because they wanted people to love him, but most just thought he was Ok.
