Very strange death, as far as i know he was against the sanctions against Russia, arguing that Japan should keep its relations with Russia due to cheap energy. I guess certain people couldn't take it any more, and they decided to do something about it.

@solis so far we only know that the killer was an ex-marine with a home–made gun. Apparently he was not happy with his politics—sounds fishy as fuck.

I mean that nobody kills a fucking ex-prime minister because you don't like his politics. First off all, Sinzo wasn't a prime minister at that time, so the killer should be mad at the current prime minister not Sinzo. Second, why would an ex-marine (who has to be mentally healthy to even get into military) kill him, that doesn't make sense!?
