He and Fujitora in terms of writing quality, I easily prefer them both to Kizaru and Aokiji (at least when Aokiji was an Admiral).

I agree. Oda put so much effort into their designs, it would be such a shame if they don't get respected in the manga going forward

I think he’s going to show the Admirals as extremely strong for sure, but in the end they are villains and will be defeated, probably with the exception of Fujitora who may wind up an ally.

And Ryokugyu already has Fucking incredible feats without Oda showing the true extent of his strength lol, the Admirals will pull off disgusting feats at EOS.

Another problem I have with Ryokugyu is that he's kind of like Kidd in that in his power is insane in concept but Oda isn't creative enough to use it.
Expectation for Kidd: controlling electrical currents, force fields, magnetizing blood
Reality: Big dumb jobber metal attacks
Expectation for Ryokugyu: toxic spores, flight, acid, elemental resistant mushroom shields

With Ryokugyu it’s still pretty unclear, but Fujitora and Ryokugyu seem more Haki focused than DF focused like the C3, Ryokugyu with his CoA and Fuji with CoO.

That form neg diffed the scabbards, beat the shit out of Momo, and tanked an AdCoC strike from Yamato with zero injury, lol
