First thing you wanna do is cheese Dragonrider then head to no man’s wharf for the sorcery merchant.
If you’re doing SOTFS it should be easy to head to shaded woods, you can grab the cast speed ring from the woods, then after it in brightstone you can find a +2 attunement ring and staff of wisdom

The spider drops crystal soul spear on ng+ so for maximum damage output you have to use an ascetic

DS1 dlc enemies also have high magic resistance but generally it’s not a big concern, Manus however is a different story lmao
