We know that Shouheikun was once stronger than Moubu.... and that's about it. We have no idea how strong that Moubu was compared to Coalition Moubu, who had the toughest fight of his life and was getting his ass kicked for a good portion of his duel against Kanmei.

Shouheikun is my favorite character in Kingdom so I’m really not sure I can answer this question objectively lol. Could go either way I guess but probably Kanmei.

In a duel Kanmei would beat the SHK we have seen in the story and I don't think SHK was stronger in his younger years.
But one thing is sure: Kanmei won't remain the strongest guy that Moubu has faced in 1vs1. For now, he is.

Let's not gass up SHK's combat strength to much. I think he's much stronger than Riboku but nothing says he's as strong as coalition Moubu let alone Kanmei.
