Then again I'd favor Renpa overall but people saying Kanki can't win are underestimating the man. He's a monster lol.

The moment Ousen himself had to wrack his brain to figure out what exactly Kanki was planning against Kochou was the moment where any Kanki doubters should’ve been silenced lol, Kanki is so lethal that Renpa is not safe from him.

Renpa is the superior commander overall but Kanki can definitely beat him in the right circumstances.
