Oda simply wanted to show the parallels between Luffy, Kid and Law like in SA but we can easily ignore that on powerscaling since it was mainly fanservice for them.

Also, Luffy using Bound Man against fodders? Do you not think that this could have a hidden meaning? I think Luffy learned to master G4th perfectly now, thanks to AdCoA, otherwise Oda wouldn't use Bound Man on this certain panel.

Luffy even directly deactivated his Bound Man without losing his entire Haki, that's also an important detail if you ask me.

I think he is more proficient in G4 now. I doubt he has any new gear forms or an extra gear. Luffy could deactivate G4 without losing all his haki before I think (see e.g against Cracker/Kata), it's just that if he lets it run out he loses his haki.

There's no reason for him to lose all his haki if he deactivates it of his own will.

Boundman was completely unneeded, either G2 or G3 or even base Luffy would have been sufficient to deal with the fodders. Oda simply wanted to parallel Kidd's power up with Luffy's power up.

I think Oda just did this to stress how hard Luffy’s CoA improves, that he can now use Gear 4 without worrying much about the haki strain that comes later. Law just used a basic room and that shit sure isn’t Gear 4 level lol.

Well Kidd didn't need to use a power up/mode either to destroy the fodder. Law only used Room I think cause he doesn't have any power up aside from that (if you can even call Room a power up).

I agree with Law but the point being that Oda isn’t necessarily paralleling their strength in that moment imo. I think there’s a solid chance Kidd will be around Cracker/Smoothie level but he won’t be YC1 yet.

It makes no sense for Kidd to be YC 1 level, but now if I see Kidd keeping up and matching Boundman in a tag team with Kaido I wouldn't be surprised anymore.

I would like more from Kidd to even consider him Doffy level honestly. We know Law is not there yet and he has got ways to go, however on the other hand Kidd is certainly stronger.
